- Beecher D. Poff, age 67, of Gainesville, Fla. formerly of Christiansburg, died Tuesday, July 14, 1992, in Fla. He is survived by his wife, Claudine Akers Poff; a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Maida, Jacksonville; Fla.; one brother, Richard H. Poff, Midlothian, Va.; and five grandchildren. Funeral and burial were July 17 in Gainesville, Fla.
