MINERAL RIDGE – There will be funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mineral Ridge Church of Christ for Winifred "Winnie" G. Seifert, 80, who died Monday morning at University Hospital in Cleveland. Winifred was born Oct. 15, 1925 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Harl and Edna (Stroup) Wilfong. She had been a bus driver for Weathersfield Schools for 31 years and was a member of the Mineral Ridge Church of Christ, where she had been church organist for more than 50 years. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mineral Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 608 and a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School. Winifred's husband, Edward C. Seifert, whom she married in 1946, died March 31, 1992. She leaves three daughters, Lou Rene and her husband Jerry Church of Warren and Carol and Dianne Seifert, both at home; a stepbrother, William McFarland of Newton Falls; and a grandson, William Church.
