Ronald Dean Allen Sr., 53, Bicknell, passed away Friday October 11, 2013 at his residence. Ronnie was born December 22, 1959 in Vincennes, the son of David W. and Sharon (Johnson) Allen. He attended the North Knox schools, and had worked as a furniture mover and truck driver in Denver, CO, until he became disabled. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Alison (Montgomery) Allen of Bicknell, whom he married in 2009; two sons, Dean Allen and his wife Kai of Kaneohe, HI and Nicholas Allen of Bicknell; father David W. Allen and his wife Sandra of Vincennes; two brothers, David Duane Allen and his wife Beverly of Brighton, CO and Steven Allen and his wife Jessica of Dale, IN; sister Penni Grigsby and her husband Larry of Lake Lawrence, IL; three step-daughters, Angel Montgomery, Amanda Arthur, and Michelle Arthur, all of Bicknell; eight step-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son Ronald Allen Jr., who died in the Iraq war in 2003; mother Sharon Johnson Allen, who died in 1999; nephew Shane Thomas Allen in 2011; paternal grandparents, Samuel David and Ava (Nicholson) Allen; and maternal grandparents Goldie and Robertine (Wheeler) Johnson. The family will receive friends on Monday October 14, 2013 at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM also at the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the Bruceville Cemetery.
