Funeral services were held Friday, January 11, in Cicero. Burial was in Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, Evergreen Park, Illinois.

Elizabeth Paus was born March 29, 1859, in Falkenau, Germany, the daughter of Christian and Elizabeth (Von Munthe) Paus. She immigrated with her parents to the United States to Chicago, Illinois. She married Ernst Wilhelm Hessler on November 11, 1882, in Chicago. They were the parents of Ernest, Antony, Harry, Agnes and Otto. Ernst preceded her in death on November 21, 1891. She married Charles G. M. Degler on April 5, 1902, in Chicago. Charles preceded her in death on July 26, 1905. She married Theodore Horn on June 2, 1906, in Chicago.

Surviving are her husband, Theodore; one daughter, Agnes (William) Anderson; four sons, Ernest (Helena) Hessler, Antony Hessler, Harry Hessler and Otto (Estelle) Hessler; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first two husbands and two granddaughters, Elizabet Hessler and Evelyn Hessler.
