Mrs. Anna Peterson died December 18, 1973, at the age 98 years, 2 months. Her funeral was held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Santa Monica Blvd, in Hollywood, California on December 20, 1973, with interment in Calvary Cemetery.

Anna was on the 1880 census recorded as age 7. Miss Anna Goetz married Louis Vanisky in 1901. They were the parents of 4 children, 2 daughters, plus 2 sons that died in infancy. Mr. Vanisky died in 1918. The widowed Mrs. Anna Vanisky re-married in 1921 to Hans Peterson.

Mr. Louis Vanisky and Miss Anna Goetz were married at the home of the bride's parents in Maplewood on the 11th of June. The bridal pair was attended by Misses Kate Goetz, Kate Casper, Margaret Goetz, and Messrs. Jas. Geier, Frank Goetz and James Yanken. The bride was beautifully gowned in white swiss over silk, and carried a large bouquet of white carnations. After the marriage ceremony, the wedded pair and the guests, many of whom were from Menominee, Marinette, Milwaukee, and neighboring towns, danced until dawn to the music of the Forestville brass band. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Vanisky left Thursday morning for Ashland, Wis., where they will reside.

Mrs. Anna Vanisky of this place and Hans Peterson of River Falls were married this morning at 7 o'clock in the Catholic church, attended by Mr. and Mrs. Hilary Knepper of Galesville as bridesmaid and best man. Mrs. Peterson is one of Trempealeau's popular matrons and a retired business woman, being the late occupant of the Trempealeau Hotel, and Mr. Peterson is a popular knight of the grip, traveling for the Morley-Murphy Hardware Co. of Green Bay. After a short wedding trip they will be at home to their friends in the Martin residence on Third street.

At some point after Hans died in February 1924, Anna and both daughters moved to California. Anna is named as a surviving sister in the April 2, 1968 obit for Catherine (Goetz) Babler - named as Mrs. Anna Peterson, of Hollywood, CA.

Mrs. Leona Miller who came up last Friday on the noon train from La Crosse for a few days visit here with friends was suddenly called home on Friday evening on account of the sudden death of her stepfather, Hans Peterson, who died Friday afternoon from quinsy. Mr. Peterson was well known here having made this town while on the road for the Morley-Murphy Hardware Co. of Green Bay, Wis, and later being united in marriage to Mrs. Ann Vanisky, proprietor of the local hotel. They were married about three years ago and made their home here until about a year ago when they moved to La Crosse. The body of Mr. Peterson was taken to Cumberland, Wis, where it will lie in the family lot beside that of his first wife.
