Barbara Jane Stoddard Murray of Wellsville, Utah passed away peacefully October 30, 2013, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 21, 1928 in Layton, Utah to Marjorie Lorena Wiggill and Joseph Frederick Stoddard, second of eleven children. Married Luther Lee Murray May 25, 1946 in Preston, Idaho. Sealed May 19, 1964 in the Logan, Utah Temple. Survived by her three daughters LeeAnn (Lynn) Clark of Nibley, Utah, Marilynn (Kerry) Yeates of West Valley, Utah and Jane (Fred) Brasfield of Wellsville, Utah along with two brothers and four sisters. Preceded in death by her husband Lee and son Kevin Ray as well as her parents, one brother, and three sisters.

Throughout her life she lived in several Intermountain states. She settled in Wellsville, Utah and has resided there for the last 58 years, the place she loved the most. There she and her husband built the home where she lived until her recent illness and passing. She is the grandmother to ten grandchildren, great grandmother to twenty-four great grandchildren.

She was an avid bowler, bowling several times a week; her top game was a score of 224. Even a hip replacement could not keep her from the lanes. She enjoyed all kinds of handwork, which she has shared with her family and friends. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and a long time member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. For many years, she and her husband Lee made annual trips to Wade Lake, Montana where they greatly enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends.

She worked for several years outside the home at Alt's Market in Wellsville, Sherwood Hills and was a partner in a clothing store in Logan with Margaret Griffin.

The family would like to deeply express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Logan Regional Hospital, especially to Dr. David Faux and Dr. Ali Ben-Jacob. Thank you so much to the staff of the emergency room, the ICU and the Hospice center for their tender care through her last days.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 4th at the Wellsville 5th Ward Chapel, 100 West 700 South. A viewing will be held Sunday evening at the Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Utah from 6-8 PM. An additional viewing will be held Monday morning from 10:30-11:30 at the chapel in Wellsville. Interment will be in the Wellsville City Cemetery.
