William Otto "Toby" Meade, 75, passed away on Thursday, Jan 11, 2007.
Born on July 1, 1931 in Russell County, VA., he was the son of the late Stuart and Lillie Farmer Meade. He was a medic while serving in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He was of the Methodist Faith.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Lucy Meade McFadden and brother Stewart Meade, Jr, Kemper Gilmer Meade and Verlin Meade, also precede him in death.
Survivors include sisters, Virginia Meade Almany, of Bristol,VA, Carrie Grace Meade White of Lebanon, Evelyn Meade Carty and Maida Meade Hawkins of Bristol, VA and Shirley Meade Chafin of Lebanon; one brother, Marshall Meade of Lebanon; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, Jan 14, 2007, at the Meade Family Cemetery in the Cross Roads section of Lebanon, with the Rev. Walter Statzer officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Patton Crosswhite Post 6975. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Owens Funeral Service and Cremation Services, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.
