Mr. Ray, a lifelong resident of Carlisle County, was a retired railroad clerk and farmer. He was a member of Bardwell Baptist Church and served several years as a deacon of the church.
Mr. Ray is survived by one sister, Mrs. E. M. Copeland, Bardwell, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Ray will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Bardwell Baptist Church. The Rev. H. D. Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery.
