Courtenay Augusta "Gussie" Peck, daughter of Jonathon Marshall Peck and Louisa Jane [née Baker] Peck, was married General Marcellus Augustus Stovall, a widower in 1873. General Stovall was a prominent cotton merchant and well-known general during the civil War. They had the following known children:
Louise Dearing Stovall (1874 – 1875)
Amne "Anna" Grafflin Stovall (1875 – 1960)
Marcellus Augustus Stoval,l Jr. (1877 – 1906)
Marshall C. Stovall (1879 – 1879)

Mrs. Gussie Stovall lived to the age of 98 years. Living through the Civil War and World War II. She departed this life at the home of her daughter, Anna Stovall North (Mrs. E. M. North) in Savannah.
