GALVESTON — Bertha Kitchen, 102, died Wednesday at her residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at J. Levy and Bro. Funeral Home in Galveston, the Rev. Mack Levine officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, under the direction of the funeral home. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
Born March 31, 1886, in Waco, she was a housewife and a member
of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include six daughters, Lillian Mauldin of Santa Fe, Pearl Moss, Margie Krivokopich and Thelma Mitts, all of Galveston, and Rosalee Jamison and Gertrude Nowak, both of Houston; two sons, Roy Kitchen of Texas City and Alfred Kitchen of Galveston; 20 grandchildren; 40 greatgrandchildren; and 15 greatgreat-grandchildren.
