Obituary

99, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. He was born in Fayette County, Alabama on July 28, 1914, as one of twelve children. He had lived in Louisiana and Mississippi for many years before moving to Glennville in 1995. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and a World War II Army Veteran. He retired from Bell Telephone Systems as an engineer.

Survivors include:Son & Daughter-in-Law: Robert and Carolyn Hughes of Glennville
Grandchildren: Michael and Mark Hughes, Jimmy Hughes, Todd and Mary Hughes.Four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 9:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Metairie, Louisiana. Funeral Services will be held at l:00 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Memorial Park Cemetery in Metairie, Louisiana.
