Rev Nels Magnus Liljegren was the son of Mons and Petronella (Nelson) Lilijegren. He was the husband of Sophia Gustafva Celestine (Witting) Liljegren. They were married in 1875. Sophia died April 28, 1926. He immigrated to America in 1886. Rev. Liljegren was a minister in the Northwest Swedish Conference and Central Swedish Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He served Rock Island and Geneseo, Galesburg District, IL 1893.
