Monica Peterson, age 88, a lifelong resident of 471 Thompson St., Peshtigo,WI passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Bay Area Medical Center. Born in Menominee, MI. on October 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillian (Brabender) Peterson.
Monica was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and worked at Badger Paper Mill from the age of 18 in 1940 until her retirement in 1982.
Monica is survived by her long-term companion Francis Fronsee, and by cousins Mercedes(Brabender) McGowen, Michael Brabender and Mrs. Fern Brabender.
Monica loved life and was a devoted friend to many. She enjoyed traveling with Francis, attending shows in Branson, MO. and spending holidays with the McGowen family in the Chicago area.
Visitation will be take place at the St. Mary Catholic Church on Monday, March 23, from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Father Michael Clifford officiating. Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
