Gladys B. Cross, 92, of Parkersburg died Wednesday November 8, 2006 at Sunbridge Care and Rehabitlitation. She was born in Chapel, WV a daughter of the late Orpha G. and Stella J. (Perkins) Beckett.

She retired from Corning Glass and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Betty R. and Robert Fury of Little Hocking and Darla F. and Larry Haffner of North Royalton, OH; five grandchildren Brett Fury, Tia Holsinger, Cris Sartor, Lisa Lawerence, and Cristi Cross; four great grandchildren Jeremy and Danielle Smith, and Sarah and Robert Fry; three brothers Bernard, Coy, and Eugen Beckett; and two sisters Maxine Morgan and Wilda Shephard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leamon Norman "Skippy" Cross, an infant son Bobby Leamon Cross, and two sisters Sylvia Ayers and Avis Beckett.

Services will be Saturday 11:00 AM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Danny McVey officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery North. Visitaiton will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
