A telegram was received by Ira Preston Wednesday morning announcing the death at Gloutser, Ohio, of his brother, George S. Preston, who died suddenly
Tuesday night from heart trouble.

The funeral will be held and burial made at
Glouster.

Mr. Preston was born in Sebewa 73 years ago and until his fourteenth year resided in the vicinity of Portland. Then leaving for Ohio he resided in that state until his death, paying many visits to Portland he kept up a large acquaintance here throughout the years, visiting his brother, Ira, two years ago for the last time.

During the past few months the Preston family has been called upon to mourn the death of six near relatives, all of whom have died since last January. Robert Cooley, an uncle of Mrs. Preston, died in January; Mrs. Martha Goff, her grandmother, passed away in February; Mrs. Harmon Smith, a sister of Mr. Preston, died in July; Herbert Knight, an uncle, died in August and Henry
Probart, her stepfather, died last month.
