A World War I veteran who served in the Co. E., 1st Depot Battalion, Nova Scotia Regiment in the Canadian Expeditionary Forces. His grave is now marked by an application made to the Last Post Fund by his grand-nephew (David Allen Lambert).

The following death notice appeared in the Canso Breeze newspaper, April 19, 1968 (p. 3)

"Fred Jay Lambert, formerly of St. Pierre, who resided the past three years a the home of Mrs. Rita Bennett, passed away on Tuesday in the Kentville Sanitarium. The funeral was in Mulgrave on Friday. Mrs. Rita Bennett, Mrs. James Bennett, and Joseph Long attended the funeral."
