Miles was born on March 17, 1941 in Galesburg, the son of Leo Miles and Lois (Miles) Jordan, Sr. He graduated from GHS in 1960. Miles worked for many years and retired as an Engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad. In his free time Miles loved woodworking and spent many hours in his shop.
Miles is survived by two sons, Patrick (Susan) and Jeffrey (Connie) Jordan both of Monticello, IN; one daughter, Pamela Sue (Gary) Cassell of St. Louis, MO; and six grandchildren, Kayla Jordan, Preston Jordan, Travis Jordan, Sydney Jordan, Brendan Cassell, and Alex Cassell. He is also survived by his significant other of 15 years, Anita Ennis of Monticello, IN; one brother, David Neil (Nancy) Jordan of Monticello, IN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Bainbridge, C. Patricia Mellican, and Margaret Ann Sperlin.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home, Galesburg. Rev. Daniel Siems will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home, Galesburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
