[The funeral will take place Friday, April 24, 1931, from the chapel of De Young & Conklin, American and Fremont streets, where services will be held under the auspices of the Native Sons. Interment will be in the Clements Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend.]

Philip Sheridan Dies after Operation
Philip Sheridan passed away at a local hospital following a major operation. He was a native of Lancha Plana*,California, aged 60 years. The family moved to Lodi several months ago.
He was the husband of Katherine Sheridan and father of Fred, Edna, Rose, Charles, Floyd, Mary, Woodrow, Eleanor, William, Jane, Calvin, Patrick and Florence Sheridan, all of Lancha Plana.
The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock at the chapel of DeYoung & Conklin in Stockton under the auspices of the Native Sons.
Interment will be in the Clements cemetery.

*Lancha Plana, California was a small settlement in Amador County, California formed as a result of a flatboat ferry crossing across the Mokelumne River. It was founded by Mexican settlers in 1848. The remants of the town were submerged as a result of the damming of the river to form the Camanche Reservoir.
