Susie Connie Cardenas, born on September 29, 1949, entered eternal life on December 16, 2013, peacefully in her home in Wilmington. Born the 3rd oldest of five children to Willie and Angie Perea, she was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, CA. Connie graduated from Banning High School in 1963 and earned a living as a dental assistant for over 20 years. However, her most treasured role was as a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, nana and friend. Her interests included gardening, sewing, and reading. But her greatest passion was her family. As the matriarch and pillar of strength, Connie provided her loved ones with wisdom, unconditional care and comfort. Her signature gift was her ability to nurture and give with a generous heart. Her legacy she leaves behind is one of grace, wisdom, and a perfect mixture of tenderness and resilience. Connie also had an unwavering faith in the Lord and was a dedicated member of the Calvary Chapel South Bay Church. Connie is predeceased by her parents, Willie and Angie Perea; her brother, Pete Nunez; and reunited with her husband and daughter, Robert G. and Amber Cardenas. Her love and memory will be carried on by her son, Robert "Bobby" Cardenas; her grandchildren, Kristina S. Cardenas, Anthony Cardenas, Robbie Garcia, and Dallas Cardenas. Arrangements under the direction of All Souls Mortuary.
