He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte J. Mellott, in 1996.
He was employed as a roofer. He was a Protestant.
He is survived by one stepdaughter, Carolyn Campbell of Way Cross, Ga.; and four step-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Rose Hill Cemetery; arrangements were handled by the Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
