March 28, 1935 Pg. 4∼Rev. John Segwalt was the son of John Henry Segwalt. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Harbell) Segwalt. They were married April 29, 1880. Elizabeth died March 6, 1942. Rev. Segwalt was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: L 1881 Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference 1885 F 1887. He supplied Miller's Corners for 9 months in 1884 and for 3 months before Conference 1885-1886 - Greenwood 1885 - Savona and Sonora 1887-1889 - Hammondsport 1890-1894 - Osceola and Elkland, PA 1895-1899 - Galeton, PA 1900-1904 - Bradford: Asbury, PA 1906-1910 - Portville 1906-1911. Rev. Segwalt mastered 12 languages, ancient and modern, and preached in both English and German.
