Moises is survived by his daughters, Dr. Rebecca Rivera (Joshua Garza), Olivia Delgadillo (Victor), Patricia Rivera (Juan Johansen), and Francisca Gonzalez; sons Jose Rivera (Yvonne), and Victor Rivera; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Moises was preceded in death by his loving wife and soul mate Angelina.
We all said our goodbyes, shared stories, and sang our favorite church hymns as he took his last breathe. Moises was blessed to be among his loving family when he went to be with our Lord and Savior. We thank God for the time we had with dad and are comforted in knowing he is with Mom and finally resting in peace. We are confident heaven's newest angel joined Mom and will watch over our family.
Our father was a long time resident of Compton, he wed Angelina Briones in 1955 and had 6 children. Dad worked for Ford Motor Co for 33 years where he retired. Dad was a family-oriented man who loved dancing, music, jogging, hiking, and having great sense of humor. Dad was proud of his children and instilled in us the importance of education, being independent, respectful, and live life with integrity. We will miss our father and the strength he demonstrated.
We give special thanks to the Olivia Delgadillo and her family who cared for dad during his final years. We also would like to thank the hospital staff that cared for our father during his last days. We appreciate their compassion, professionalism, and the dignified way they cared for our beloved father. They made a difference in the quality of his life and allowed dad to experience his end of life journey with dignity.
Forever grateful, The Rivera Children
