Mrs. Elsie Rose, wife of Eli Rose, died at their home in Kirby, Sunday afternoon, October 24, aged 62 years, after a several weeks' illness due to a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Rose was the daughter of Abraham and Sarah Stewart Moore. She was twice married. In 1878 she was united in marriage with Michael Willard, whose death occurred in 1906. She was later married to Eli Rose, who survives. She is also survived by one son, Thomas Willard, of Kirby, and the following brothers and sisters: Thomas Moore, of Kirby; Elisha Moore, of Cassville, W. Va.; Mrs. Jonathan Hillberry, of West Virginia and Mrs. William Huffman, of Waynesburg. R. D. 4. Mrs. Rose was a member of the Christian church and was highly esteemed.
