Mr. A. Sidney Camp Jr., 75, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at the Georgia War Veterans Home.

Mr. Camp was born January 15, 1928, in Coweta County to Congressman A. Sidney Camp and Sara Farmer Camp. He was a graduate of Emory University, and served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Camp was a retired Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Commerce. He was married for over 51 years to Florence Stephens Camp and had lived in Commerce for over 40 years.

A grave-side service will be held Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at Oak Hill Cemetery. The Revs. Chip Strickland and Bobby Stephens will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Methodist Children's Home.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, Sept. 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel.

Surviving are his wife, Florence S. Camp; sons Albert S. Camp III of Powder Springs, Stephen L. Camp of Marietta, John "Jack" Farmer Camp of Acworth, and Ed E. Camp of Newnan; daughters Florence C. Allen of Macon, Sarah K. Reinkdester of Katy, Texas, and Mollie Camp of Brussels, Belgium; sister Dr. Mollie Camp Davis of Charlotte, NC, and eight grandchildren.
