TREZEVANT: Bonnie Sue Baxter, 72, lifelong Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at her home. Funeral services were Friday, June 10, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Trezevant with burial in Trezevant Cemetery.
Mrs. Baxter was born January, 1939, in Huntingdon to the late Charlie and Ellen Wells Allen. She formerly worked at McKenzie Pajama Factory, Huntingdon Shirt Factory, and Milan Arsenal and was later co-owner and manager of B&B Trading Post in Trezevant. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McKenzie.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Winnie Konazeski; and two brothers, Randy Allen and Thomas Allen.
Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, James Paul Baxter; three sons, Jim and Tammy Anderson Baxter of Gallatin, Jeff and Susie Wilson Baxter of Columbia, and Jack and Cindy O'Brien Baxter of Spring Hill; one sister, Alice (Bob) Cassidy of McKenzie; two brothers, Darrell (Betty) Allen and Bobby (Kay) Allen of Huntingdon; and five grandchildren, John Baxter, Jessica Baxter, Jillian Baxter, all of Columbia, and Jackson Baxter and Wesley Baxter of Spring Hill.
