Harry Nichols, 88, formerly of Marengo, died Wednesday morning, June 10, in Valley Hi Nursing Home,Hartland, where he had resided for many years.
He was born Jan. 12, 1882, in Marengo, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Nichols.
Never married, he was a retired farmer.
He is survived by a niece, Mrs. Clara Naber, Belvidere.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Hattie Kretchmer, Harvard.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday in the Schutt, McFarlin, and Saunders funeral home, Harvard, with the Rev. Leon DeGarmo officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
