GARLAND - Services for James Henry Clanton, 68, of Garland, who died at a hospital here Thursday, were held Saturday at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in McKinney. Kenneth Frank and John Bain, both of Garland, conducted the services. Burial was in Ridgeview Memorial Cemetery in McKinney.
He was born October 19, 1908 in Bonham and was formerly a public waterworks employee in Wichita Falls. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Clanton, of Garland; son, Garry Don Clanton of Garland; daughter, Mrs. J. R. "Bessie" Talley of Wichita Falls; brother, Lewis Clanton, of Wichita Falls; sisters, Mrs. Velma Barnett, of Wichita Falls and Mrs. Willie Selser of Chandler, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren.
