Wenzel William Rosenauer was born in Austria on Sept. 27, 1862. He came to America about 1867 with his parents when he was just four years of age.
By 1885 Wenzel was living in Boyle Co., Kentucky where he married Anna Marie "Annie" Wolford (1864-1941 on Oct. 9, 1892. Like her husband, Annie was born in Austria, immigrating to America with her parents in 1883.
Wenzel and Annie were married for 48 years and had five known children. They were Josie Rosenauer (1893- ), Sylvester Rosenquer (1897-1918), Frances Marie Rosenauer (1901-1994 ), Thomas Rosenauer (1899- bef 1910) and Teresa Rosenauer (1904- ).
Annie died on May 28, 1941 in Boyle Co., KY at the age of 78. She was buried in the Germantown-St. Patrick Cemetery located not far from Junction City in Boyle County.
Wenzel died in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY on Jan. 25, 1948 at the age of 85. He was buried in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
