Maggie Johnston married Jonathan Richmond Jr. on September 12, 1860 in Rockbridge Co, VA. Jonathan died in 1861 while serving as a Captain in the Confederate Army. On Nov. 14, 1866, Maggie married John H. Hooper in Rockbridge County. John was a druggist, born in Dorchester County, Maryland and living in Chicago.

Her father is listed in marriage records as Zechariah Johnston and her mother as either Mary or Marg[aret]. There were three Zechariah Johnstons of Rockbridge County who were related as father, son and grandson. Based on current information, I believe that she was the daughter of Zechariah II and his second wife Mary Brawford. Please let me know if you have additional information.
