THANKS TO Eric Thomsen for the following information:
Concerning your Find A Grave memorial for Mary Hopkins Searles (124113210): She is interred in the Lawrence Street Cemetery in Methuen, Massachusetts, across the street from the Presentation of Mary Academy, Edward Searles' old estate, where he is buried. Although her mausoleum is not marked itself, there is a sign at the cemetery gate which reads, in part, "Later in the 19th century, Edward F. Searles constructed the 8-foot high granite wall around the north and west sides of the cemetery. Searles' parents, two siblings, and Searles' wife, Mary Hopkins Searles, are buried here. The granite gatehouse and Mary Searles' tomb were built by Searles in 1891." A photo of this sign can be seen on Lawrence Street Cemetery's Find a Grave page.

THANKS TO skbtf4 for the following obituary:
Andover Townsman – July 31, 1891 – Vol. 4 – No. 42 – Page 6
SHE HAD MANY MILLIONS.
Mrs. Mark Hopkins Searles Answered Death's Call.
METHUEM, Mass., July 27 – Mrs. Mark Hopkins Searles died at her mansion here Saturday after suffering many months with grip. She was attacked with the complaint during last winter, and, though treated by the best physicians in the state, all efforts to conquer the disease were unavailing. A change of climate was ordered, and the invalid went west, but returned not long ago, not improved by her trip.
Mrs. Hopkins Searles was one of the richest women in America. Her husband, Mark Hopkins, who died in 1878, was one of the five men of California who built the Central Pacific railroad and made each thereby a princely fortune. He left an estate inventoried at $21,700,000, but that was said to be one-third below the real value. Mrs. Hopkins received all but $4,000 of it, and a year or so ago, she was said to be worth over $60,000,000.
