He was a very sucessful physician and surgeon,who recieved education from St. Augustine college and Shaw University and recieved his Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. His work was in the hospital of St. Agnes Hospital.
Dr. Delany's funeral was held at St. Augustine's College Chaple, and he was buried at Mt. Hope cemetery.
