Mr. Joseph D. Marini, age 81, died on February 6th, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers. He was the husband of Marie Alberti-Marini. Born in Malden, he was the son of late Gerardo and Jennie (Cardareli) Marini. A United States Navy veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Marini was a long time banker on the North Shore affiliated with the former Saugus Bank and Trust, Eastern Bank, and the former Broadway National Bank in Revere. He had been a resident of Saugus for the last 40 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by Marie's three children . . . and seven grandchildren. He was the long time friend and co-worker of the late Richard Fama. Donations in his memory may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923. Visiting hours were held at the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Monday, Feb. 11th followed by a funeral mass at Parish of the Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St., Melrose.
