James Thomas Beers passed away at his home on Big Buffalo at 11 o'clock Sunday forenoon January 13, 1929 age 68 years. Death was due to pneumonia.

Mr. Beers was born February 10, 1863 in London, England and was the son of James and Mary Harrison Beers.

He is survived by his widow Mrs. Bertha Terry Beers and the following children: Mrs. Claude Myers of Middlebourne, Mary Maples of Cleveland Ohio, Mrs. John Wachob of Rochester, Pa, Matthew, and Richard Beers of Freedom, Pa., James S. Beers of Colton California and Howard Beers at home and sixteen grand children and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the home of his daughter Mrs. Claude Myers at the Tyler Hotel Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Jackson of the Baptist church conducting. Internment was in the Greenwood Cemetery by Campbell.
