Carolyn Murray, age 72, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2014. She was born on April 8, 1941 to Frank and Claudia Moore in Houston, Texas. She was raised in Texas and Arizona and later moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana – met and married the love of her life, Kenneth Murray on September 16, 1961. Carolyn attended the Herman Hospital Nursing Program. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and mother-in-law. Carolyn enjoyed being with family, puzzles, gambling, shopping, crochet and having two Pina Coladas.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Claudia Adrian Bryant, father, Frank B. Moore Senior, siblings, Bobby Moore, Barbara Dedon, Dorothy Holliday, Ann Tircuid, Bill Moore, grandchild, Kenneth Wayne Eaton, Jr.; and her cat, Jagger.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Kenneth Charles Murray; daughters, Debra Strother (Derald), Sandra Kay Hayes (David), Amber Leigh McKesson (David); sons, Daniel Warren Murray (Tiffany), Dennis Wayne Murray (Debbie); siblings, Frank B. Moore, Jr. (Becky), Cindy Fay Martin (Phillip); grandchildren, Chrissy, Ashley, Robert, Kendra, Bradley, Desiree, Brian, Branden, Sean, and Rosemary, 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Brandon, Bradley, Brian, Sean, William, and Christopher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Connor and Dylan.
