Iota - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 26, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Iota for Mrs. Rose Lejeune Hebert, 77, who died at 3:30 a.m. on June 25 in the Crowley American Legion Hospital. Burial was held in the St. Joseph's mausoleum. Officiating for the services was Fr. Francis Bourgeois.
Mrs. Hebert was a lifelong resident of Iota.
Survivors include her husband, William Edward "W.E." Hebert of Iota; one son, Charles Hebert, Sr. of Egan; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Barbara Hebert) Lacombe of Iota and Mrs. Herman (Mildred Hebert) Stroderd of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Leroy Lejeune of Iota and Emery Lejeune of Durald; two sisters, Mrs. Eldridge (Elma LeJeune) Ardoin of Basile and Mrs. Wilbert (Ellen LeJeune) Veronie of Jennings, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charles Hebert, Jr, Carl Hebert, Corwin Hebert, Damien Stroderd, Eugene Lacombe, Bradley Lacombe. Honorary pallbearer was C. Paul Hebert. Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Iota was in charge of all arrangements.
