Located in the town of Soissons, in the Aisne area of France, the World War I, memorial was unveiled by General Sir Hamilton Gordon on July 22, 1928. The memorial lists 3,887 names of British soldiers with no known grave who were killed in the area from May to August 1918, during the Spring Offensive against the Germany Army. The monument also is commemorated to those whom fought in the Second Battle of Marne and Third Battle of the Aisne in 1918.
