Dessie Russell, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 1999 in a local nursing home.
She was born on April 24, 1914 in Clegg, Texas. Dessie was A bookkeeper and assistant manager of the Corpus Christi City Employees Credit Union for sixteen years. She retired November 1973 and pursued her life long dream to live in the Texas hill country. She lived in Uvalde until moving back to Corpus Christi in 1991. She is preceded in death by her husband C.P. "Bill" Russell in 1984.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeaneen Gough and husband Bill of Corpus Christi, TX; Kyleen Black and husband Tom of Uvalde, TX; son R.C. "Billy" Russell and Wife Carolyn of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Tab Black, Dionne Edwards, Julie Jedlicka, Jonna Davidson, Justin Davidson, Kelly Russell and Shannon Russell; nine great-granchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 1999 at the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be; Bill Gough, Tom Black, Vac Jedlicka, Justin Davidson, Chip Hough, Tab Black, Monty Harris and Mark James.
