Lucille Ann Bartrug, 83, of Burton, WV died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in the Madison Nursing & Rehab Center in Morgantown.

She was born October 9, 1930 at Kausooth, WV, a daughter of the late Glenn R. Cumpston and Freda L. Grandon Cumpston.

Mrs. Bartrug worked as the manager for the Silco store in Mannington for many years. She also worked as a bartender in her late husband's bar. She was a member of the Burton Homemakers Club.

Lucille was a member of the Liming Ridge Church of Christ and currently attended the Sancho Church of Christ.

Surviving are her children, Russell "Dick" and Lana Bartrug of Martinsburg, Sara Louise "Sally" and John Ammons of Wadestown, Sam and Marty Bartrug of McConnellsville, OH, Ralph and Sue Bartrug, Debbie Cork, Rhonda "Spunk" and Ron Askew, all of Burton, and Katherine "Kaye" Bartrug of Morgantown; three brothers, Russell Cumpston of Cumberland, MD, George Cumpston of Cameron, and Charles Cumpston of Fort Lee, NJ; five sisters, Betty Stewart and Janice Cosgray, both of Burton, Nancy Moore of Darlington, PA, Susan Bowman of Hanover Township, PA, and Rene "Jo" Hanshue of Bridgeport; grandchildren, John Richard & Jenny Ammons, David & Jess Ammons, Rojack and Lisa Ammons, all of Wadestown, Lisa and Joe Sollars of Daybrook, Mandy Bartrug of Hedgesville, Leigh Anne & Stephen Hehr of Marietta, OH, Judy & Rick Lawrence of Alamance, NC, Richard "Ike" Bartrug and Sandy Gilbert of Woodsfield, OH, Shannon & Matt Church of Hundred, and Sarah Bess Gibbons of Fairmont; nine great-grandchildren, Makenna, Kaitlyn, Nate, Alivia, Tristen, Abbey, Chase, Joleigh, Noah, Gabe, Jack Samuel, Tanner, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard "Dick" Bartrug, who died on March 17, 2005, one grandson, Tommy Cork, one great-grandson, Tyler Ammons, and two son-in-laws, Dale Cork and Gary Freeland.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 6-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday with Evangelist Tom Miller and Evangelist Randy Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, Burton, WV.
