Mrs. Ethel M. Murphy, 79, 911 S. Jefferson St., died Saturday in Ball Hospital after a long illness.
She was the widow of John Murphy, who died in 1962. A native of Kentucky, Mrs. Murphy lived most of her life in Muncie. She was employed at Ball Brothers before World War II.
Surviving are a son, Arthur Cleveland, Muncie; and three brothers, Paul Renfrow, Muncie, James Renfroe, South Bend, and Arthur Renfroe, Grand Rapids, Mich.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Rohrdan Funeral Home, Wheeling Ave. Chapel, with Rev. R.E. Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and prior to services Monday.
