Stock Actor, born Hugh Dillman McGaughy, but changed his name by order of the New York Supreme Court in May 1926 to Hugh Dillman, which he had used for several years as an actor. Attended North High School. During the First World War he served his country in the U.S. Navy, serving as a recruiter. After the War, he was an accomplished stage actor, and traveled the world. He was married firstly to Marjorie Rambeau in 1919, and they were divorced in 1923. In 1926 he was married to Mrs. Anna (Thompson) Dodge, heiress of the Dodge Automobile fortune. They built a large mansion, Rose Terrace in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, in 1936. They were divorced in 1947. Hugh continued to run a real estate business and orchard nursery in Palm Beach, Florida, and the family lived at the former Bush mansion in Marble Cliff at 1550 Roxbury Road. [bio by D. C. F.
