Funeral services for Joyce Jamieson, 92, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2012, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Dr. Gene Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
She passed away Monday evening, March 17, 2014, in Kaufman.
Joyce was born January 28, 1922, near Canton, Texas, the daughter of Stump Paschall and Lillian Lois Priest Paschall. She was raised in the Watkins community and graduated from Canton High School. On March 9, 1946, she married Thomas Vinson "T.V." Jamieson, Jr. in Terrell. She was employed as a R.N. for Baker Clinic in Wills Point and later Jewell Clinic in Fort Worth, retiring in 1982. After retirement, she returned to Wills Point. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, quilting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point
Preceded in death by her parents, Stump and Lillian Lois Paschall; husband, T.V. Jamieson, Jr. and three sisters, Emma Mae Williams, Angie Freitas and Billie Rose Slaughter
Joyce is survived by two sons, Thomas Vinson Jamieson, III & wife, Charlotte, of College Station and Anson Jamieson & wife, Jackie, of Wills Point; daughter, LeEtta Jamieson, of Boise, Idaho; four grandchildren, Dawn Luza & husband, Charles, Keith Jamieson, Vinson Jamieson and Gary Jamieson; three great-grandchildren, Scott Luza, Jennifer Luza and Jordan Jamieson; other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
