Mrs. Janice Lovelene Combs Semones Age 71 of Mt. Airy, NC passed away Friday March 21, 2014 at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Mrs. Semones was born August 30, 1942 in Carroll County, VA. to the late Howard and Goldie Jones Combs, she was a homemaker and was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband Sylvian Semones of the home, two daughters and sons-in-law Angela and Argie Burnett of the Hillsborough, NC and Stephanie Semones Kimmel and husband Tony of Westfield, five grandchildren Ariana Burnett, Argie Burnett, Jr., Avinson Burnett, Chase Gammons and Hunter Gammons, two sisters Freda Semones of Mt. Airy and Marilyn Hill of Pilot Mountain and by two brothers Doug Combs and Rodney Combs both of Cana. In addition to her parents Mrs. Semones was preceded in death by a brother Archie Combs. A graveside service will be held Monday March 24, 2014 at Skyline Memory Gardens with services conducted by Rev. Chris Benfield. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 AM until time to go to the cemetery for the service. In lieu of flowers an food the family has requested memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200 Mt. Airy, NC. 27030 or to the donor's choice.
