Funeral services for Drinda Cornett 86 of WHitesburg Ky will be conducted Thursday Aug 28 at 11 am at the Big Cowan Old regular Bap'tist Church in Big Cowan Ky., with the Revs. Jim Fields, Charles Shepherd, Harvey Creech, Donnie Halcomb and Ellis Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Kingdom Come Cemetery in Kingdom Come Ky.

Mrs Cornett died on Monday Aug 28 1997 at her residence. She was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church for 56 years.

Born May 6 1911 she was the daughter of the late Alamander and Sally Ison Caudill. She was the widow of Clifton Cornett.

Surviving are six sons, Ralph Cornett of Westport, Kenis Cornett of North Vernon, Richard Gay Cornett of Crothersville, Paul Cornett of Hayden, Phillip Cornett of Hartsetta Alabama and David Cornett. Three daughters Maxine Sexton of Jenkins Ky, Susie WIlliams of North Vernon and Martha Coate of Uz Ky; four sisters Bonnie Hampton of Columbus, Ola Cornett and Ada Dixon of North Vernon and Elsie Dixon of Cumberland Ky. 53 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons Eugene Cornett and Robert Stanley and two daughters Sophia Hogg and Chelsie Daughtery.
