David Byron Bush one of the pioneer residents of Indiana County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Kerr of Big Run, following a five year illness brought on by a fall, aged 80 years.

Born near Marchand, he was raised in that vicinity and until about five years ago resided near what is known as the Five Mile House in this county. Since that time he has been making his home with his children. From early youth he has been a woodsman, and it is said that he has cut more timber than any other man in the state. He is survived by his wife and the following children:
~ James of Dayton;
~ Samuel of near Dixonville;
~ Jacob of Covode;
~ John of West Virginia;
~ Byron of Cherry Run;
~ Mrs. Anna Howard;
~ Mrs. C. E. Nolph, of Michigan;
~ Mrs. Thomas Kerr of Big Run;
~ Mrs. Michael Thomas, of Cherry Run.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 26, and interment was made at White Church Cemetery at Perryville.
