Dorothy L. Horgen, 87, formerly of the Town of Harding and Jenny Towers died Tuesday March 15, 1994 at Pine Crest Nursing Home.
Dorothy was born on December 27, 1906 in Lincoln County to Frank and Ardena Zahn Kurth. She married Peter Horgen on July 29, 1929 in Bessemer, Michigan.
Dorothy was a homemaker, and before she lost her sight, enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, and also enjoyed reading and playing cards. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Betty Severt of Merrill; a brother Raymond (Esther)Kurth, Fairchild; seven grandchildren, Greg, Jim, Jeff, Todd, and Rick Severt along with Tammy Ott and Cindy Vachavake and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter and a sister Alverna.
A private family funeral service was held on Friday afternoon March 18, 1994 at the Taylor Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Albers officiated and burial was in Merrill Memorial Park.
