Helen Pazdon , 78, of 124 W. 22nd St., West Hazleton, died Thursday evening at her home.
She was born in Lansford, daughter of the late George and Mary (Gazo) Tirpack. She was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, West Hazleton.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Joseph, in 1996; and the following brothers and sisters: Michael, George, Joseph, Mary Yevak, Anna Pater and John.
She is survived by sons, Joseph and his wife, Daneen, Sugarloaf; and David and Sally Thomas, Drums; grandchildren, Britney Mayer and Abigail and Caitlin Pazdon ; a brother, Peter Tirpak, Summit Hill; a sister, Susan Dopira, Summit Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home Inc., 544 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Transfiguration R.C. Church.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends and relatives may call Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family
