Molly Esther Edmondson, 91, of Norman passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was born November 25, 1922 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Edmond Augustus and Esther (Pullen) Edmondson. She graduated from Muskogee High School and began her career with the United States government.

Molly's career of nearly 30 years took her to various Air Forces bases such as Davis Field, and Perrin Air Force Base not to mention her time spent at Camp Gruber Army Post. Molly retired in 1972, as a procurement officer for the Veterans Administration. One of Molly's favorite past times was politics because she wanted to make the world better for her family and friends. One of her fondest memories was helping her two brothers Ed and Howard with their political campaigns. She looked forward to engaging in political discussions with her family and friends for which she always had an opinion. In her early years, Molly was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Muskogee. She will be remembered by her family as a quiet gentle soul that was devoted to her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ed Edmondson and James Howard Edmondson; sister, Ann Rousek; and two nephews, John Martin Edmondson and James Howard Edmondson. Molly is survived by eight nephews and nieces, James E. Edmondson and wife Suzanne, Drew Edmondson and wife Linda, Brian Edmondson and wife Connie, June Edmondson Anglin, Jack Rousek, Leslie Shaull and husband Riley, Jeanne Edmondson, and Patty Zimmer and husband Keith; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2014 at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street, Norman, Oklahoma 73072. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Greenhill Cemetery, 1500 N. York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma 74403.
