Death Called Old Soldier and Citizen.
Masons Honored the Dead.
At an early hour Sunday morning Mr. James Thomas Maynor, an old citizen of Birmingham died at his home, 220$ Avenue F, death resulting from organic heart disease. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon from the residence, the remains being interred at Oak Hill cemetery with Masonic honors. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends of the deceased and his family and numerous floral offerings were laid upon the bier. The deceased was 69 years of age, a native of Georgia. He came to Birmingham over twenty years ago and remained here until his death. He was a loyal soldier of the Confederacy and the funeral was attended by a number of his old comrades. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity and belonged to St. John's Methodist Church. He was a brave soldier, a good citizen and a devoted husband and father. The deceased leaves a wife and four children, James Maynor. of Decatur, and John Maynor, Miss Lena Maynor and Miss Annie Maynor, of Birmlngham.
