Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, in the Zion Congregational church at 2 p.m. for Henry J. Danekas, 68, who passed away at the Adams County Memorial hospital Wednesday. The Rev. R. W. Rieger will officiate. Interment will be made in the Ritzville Memorial cemetery.

Danekas was born Oct. 1, 1888 in Minionk, Ill., and came to Ritzville when he was six months old. He is survived by his widow, Anna; two sons, Robert and Ralph and one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Lucille) Telecky, all of Ritzville. Also surviving are two brothers, J. P. Danekas and W. G. Danekas and one sister, Tina, Sielaff and five grandchildren, all of Ritzville.

At the time of his death Danekas was county commissioner from District 1. He is the past president of the Big Bend Baseball league and past master of the Marcellus Grange. He was a member of the Elks lodge No. 228 of Spokane and of the Zion Congregational church.
