Bennie Leona Creason, 103, Leawood, KS passed away on August 14, 2005 at the Overland Park Manor in Overland Park, KS. Bennie was born on March 23, 1902 in Platte County, MO to James David and Mary Ellen Adkins.
Bennie completed high school in Platte City, MO and then attended finishing school in Camden Point, MO. That school later became William Woods College in Fulton, MO.
Bennie was blessed with a long life of excellent health, working until age 86. Her employment included sales positions with Emery Bird Thayer in Kansas City, MO, The Model in North Kansas City, MO and a part-time job in a pastry shop in Parkville, MO.
Bennie and her late husband were charter members of the Park Hill Christian Church.
She is survived by three children, Delbert Creason, Deepwater, MO; Frank Creason and his wife Ann of Leawood, KS; and Betty Detrich of Bolivar, MO; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; one sister, Nadine Norris of Raytown, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Bennie was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James Franklin Creason, and a daughter, Karla Kay Sanson.
Visitation will be prior to the service. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 18, at Park Hill Christian Church, Kansas City, MO. Burial in Second Creek Cemetery, Linkville, MO. Arrangements by D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel, Overland Park, KS.
